My daughter has been going to Powlett Reserve centre for the last year and we have found it to be an amazing experience. The carers really care about the kids and provide detailed feedback when requested. My daughter loves it so much that she often asks me if she can go on the weekend! She has made some great friends there and the environment is really loving. The facilities are great and they also have a well thought out learning program for the kids. I would highly recommend this childcare for anyone searching…if you are lucky enough to get a spot!

This is a high quality childcare centre where staff go above and beyond for the children. The environment is fantastic, especially the outdoor area and the children get to experience lots of different opportunities and educational experiences. The educators are very responsive, caring and professional. Dal, Mel Hajrija, Victoria and Abla have been very supportive and nuturing of our daughter’s growth and education. My daughter loves Davey’s music program. We have always felt confident and comfortable leaving our daughter in their care. We have been sending her there for 3 years and there has never been an issue. There is also a strong community within the centre. Highly recommend this fantastic childcare. Thank you to Rose-Marie and all the staff for all your hard work, dedication and commitment.

Great centre to work at and a very well managed team. The children are very settled and families in the communities are so friendly.

Our daughter has been at Powlett Reserve for 4 years. She is now graduating and it feels like we are leaving a family. Staff are there for years and develop close, nurturing relationships and focus on each child’s development. There are enrichment programs with an expansive kitchen garden, music and themed areas of investigation (e.g. space). Other parents become friends and there are opportunities to become involved in the kinder community. We have experienced a large commercial childcare centre and moved to Powlett Reserve as soon as we could

I cannot recommend this place enough. My son was a particularly attached child as he was stuck with us during the COVID lockdown, so transitioning to childcare was particularly tough for him (and us!).
However, the carers at EMCC took a lot of time to welcome him (and us…) in and allow him time to get used to the play-space and programme.
If you are considering this place I would definitely recommend you check it out for a tour, the room setup along with some of the outdoor shared spaces is really well done.
The other thing to note is that there’s a lot of shade from tall big trees in the area. This is particularly great as it contrasts the fact that its near the convenience of the CBD>

I couldn’t imagine a more wonderful, nurturing, professional and positive place for my three children to have attended. EMCC is an amazing place. My children have been cared for so beautifully by the incredible staff here, who have helped shape them into the bright, kind and happy little people they are. The community is warm, friendly and welcoming. I couldn’t recommend EMCC more highly.

A truly amazing child care centre. We started at a larger commercial centre and the experience of both our kids and us has been poles apart. The level of personalised and genuine care for our kids, the significantly smaller numbers of kids per room, the incredibly low attrition and high calibre of educators, the sense of community amongst the families, the nutritional quality of the meal planning… I could go on and on. And a side benefit to this long list, this centre is not-for-profit, so the daily fee is notably lower than the for-profit centres. We pay less and we get so much more. I also have a child with coeliac disease and the centre well and truly exceeded my expectations for catering to his gluten free needs.

EMCC is an incredible childcare center. They’ve not only attracted some truely first rate carers and teachers but they’ve also proved very successful at retaining their staff, which means a lower turnover and a close bond between children and caters / teachers. The rooms are a rich and colourful learning environment and the outside play area is quite possibly the best anywhere in the inner city – some things just take 50+ years to get right. So if you’re trying to avoid a corporate, cookie-cutter center, then EMCC is definitely worth checking out.
